Alanah Nasadyk - Podcast 3: Final Q&A

Post type:
Blog post

For my final podcast I asked my friends and colleagues, if you could ask me anything about my CAPI internship experience in Japan, what would it be? Using some of their responses, I recorded a questions and answers session to offer some insight into my impressions about interning with CITYNET and living abroad. As always, if you have any further questions don't hesitate to get in touch with me, I would be happy to help and share.

Alanah Nasadyk - Blog Post 2: Weekend Wanderings Around Japan

Post type:
Blog post

For this post, I’d like to diverge from the work I’ve been doing in the CITYNET Yokohama Project Office to focus on how I’ve been spending my free time getting acquainted with Japan. On weekends, holidays, and some evenings, I pick different places to visit, and with my compact camera at the ready, I go exploring. Through the following musings on the places I’ve seen, foods I’ve tasted, impressions I’ve gotten, and experiences I’ve had I hope that you can enjoy Japan vicariously from my perspective.

Alanah Nasadyk – Blog Post 1: Yokohama Site Visits

Well, it’s been just over two months since I hopped on a plane and into my life in Japan. So, I think it’s about time to share some more of my experiences and reflections with you all. During this time, I’ve had even more chances to become familiar with the frequency and power of disasters in Asia. I’ve been through my first and second typhoons, and was surprised and saddened to learn that a popular hiking mountain, Ontake-san, erupted claiming the lives of over 50 people on September 27th.
