Cassana Kelly - Blog 2: Participatory Learning

A few weeks ago I spent  a beautiful weekend at the Malasimbo music festival in Puerta Galera.  Something about festivals always seems to leave me beaming with happiness, gratefulness and a new found sense of community.  Perhaps it is the mixture of barefoot dancing, drum beats and the laid back reggae feel that fosters open-hearted interactions between all who attend.  These interactions I warmly treasure and find oh-so inspiring.

Jamie Myrah - Blog 1: The Universal Truth of the Bonding Nature of Food

Lunchtime is my favourite part of my workday. Perhaps that seems like an obvious, even cliched, statement to make when living in a city as famous for its food as Delhi, but the reasons for it go far beyond the deliciousness of the home-cooked meal that is served. At 1:00 each day, the entire staff of PRIA (Participatory Research in Asia) leave their offices and cubicles for 30 minutes and eat lunch together.

Harrison Ellis - Blog 3: Migrants Rights Violation Reporting System (MRVRS)

During my time at MFA, I have been extremely fortunate to help enter cases using the Migrant Rights Violation Reporting System (MRVRS). I would like to provide some information on the system’s background, workings, strengths, challenges, and what the system has taught me about the use of communication, technology, and international law in the context of migration and human rights.

January 30 2013

It's difficult to write about experiences you can't quite comprehend.  That is probably why I have found myself over a month into this beautiful and exciting journey still at a loss for words and countless half-attempted and subsequently trashed blog entries.  But with time passing so quickly I am forced to conjure my half processed thoughts onto paper for the sake of my internship requirements. I know I will come to value these blog entries for my own sake as well when my current reality turns into faded memories - a circumstance which seems inconceivable now but from firsthand experience I know will come.
